Glenn is a corporate law specialist with particular expertise in mergers, acquisitions and corporate insurance matters.

​​​​​​Glenn is an M&A specialist who regularly advises New Zealand and overseas clients on large corporate transactions. He advises prominent New Zealand corporate entities including Rank Group, Carter Holt Harvey, Goodman Fielder, AIA, AMP Life and Genesis Energy.

He is also a member of the insurance law team and has advised clients on some of the insurance sector's largest M&A transactions, including Resolution Life's acquisition of AMP Life's wealth protection and mature businesses (IFLR Asia Pacific's 2021 M&A Deal of the Year), AIA's acquisition of Sovereign, IAG's purchase of the ongoing insurance business of AMI Insurance and Blackstone's investment in Partners Life. He also regularly advises New Zealand and global insurers on regulatory matters, including approvals required for M&A transactions or group reorganisations.

Glenn has extensive experience in the FMCG sector, including his advice to Goodman Fielder and Walter & Wild on a range of transactions including the New Zealand law aspects of its AU$1.34 billion sc​hem​e of arrangement with Wilmar International and First Pacific Company, the sales of its flour and oils businesses and the purchase of Lion’s New Zealand dairy business.

He advises numerous corporate clients on their employee incentive arrangements, including Air New Zealand, Rakon, Genesis Energy and Gentrack. He authored the New Zealand chapter of​ Global Law and Business Employee Share Plans: International Legal and Tax Issues, Second Edition. ​​

Glenn is ranked as a leading individual in corporate and commercial law in Chambers Asia Pacific 2022. In a previous edition, clients stated he "has an excellent grasp of the key commercial law issues in New Zealand, providing pragmatic advice to clients. The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2022 ​has ​ranked Glenn as a leading lawyer for corporate and M&A law and recommended Glenn for insurance law in New Zealand.
