Troy Ryba

Troy Ryba has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within research and development. Troy is currently serving as the Vice President of Research and Development at Bell Laboratories, Inc., a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Research and Development at the same company from October 2014 to October 2021.

Before joining Bell Laboratories, Inc., Ryba worked as a Manager-Academic Chemistry Collaborations at MilliporeSigma from 2010 to 2014. Troy also served as a Group Leader-Chemistry at PKC Pharmaceuticals from 2009 to 2010. In addition, they worked as a Research Chemist II at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from 2007 to 2009.

Ryba began their professional career as a Student Intern at Mayo Clinic in 1996. Prior to that, they worked as a Summer Research Student at Loyola University Chicago in 1995. Troy also gained experience as a Laboratory Technician at Carus in 1994.

Troy Ryba has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, which was obtained from 1993 to 1997. After completing their undergraduate degree, they pursued further education at the UT Southwestern Medical Center from 1997 to 2000, focusing on Biomedical Research Graduate Studies. Troy then attended the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2005, obtaining a Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry. Finally, from 2005 to 2007, Troy Ryba was a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Scripps Research, specializing in Synthetic Chemistry.
