Hazel Finlayson

Hazel Finlayson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Hazel is currently employed as the Head of Data Insights at Bella & Duke since October 2021.

Prior to this, Hazel worked at SSE plc for almost a decade starting from June 2012. During their time at SSE plc, they held roles as an Insight Manager and Insight Analyst. As an Insight Manager, they were responsible for providing robust data-led insights to address key business questions across SSE's product portfolio. Hazel'skey achievements include establishing an effectiveness culture within SSE Marketing, developing econometric models to quantify the impact of advertising, assisting with campaign planning, implementing customer segmentation, evaluating the impact of customer reward programs, and establishing an insight-led strategic partnership pipeline process.

Hazel also worked as an Assistant Statistician at The Scottish Government from January 2009 to June 2012. In this role, they provided statistical support to the Local Government Finance and Third Sector policy teams. Hazel'sresponsibilities included performing Grant Aided Expenditure calculations, monitoring public sector spend with the Third Sector, and participating in technical advisory groups.

Before their role at The Scottish Government, Hazel worked as an Economic Research Assistant at Seafish from December 2007 to December 2008. Hazel also worked as an Intermediary Support Consultant at Capita Life & Pensions from December 2006 to November 2007.

Hazel started their career at The Indigo Lighthouse Group in November 2003. Hazel held various roles within the company, including Customer Services Team Leader, Customer Service Advisor, and Bank Reconciliation Clerk (Secondment). Hazel'stenure at The Indigo Lighthouse Group lasted until December 2006.

Hazel began their professional journey as a Clinical Data Associate at PPD in May 2003, where they worked until September 2003.
