James McColl

James McColl is an experienced geologist with a diverse background in the mining sector. Currently serving as a Senior Mine Geologist (Acting) at Bellevue Gold since November 2022, James has previously held roles including Project Geologist and Mine Geologist. Prior experience includes positions at Wiluna Mining as both an Underground Project Geologist and Underground Mine Geologist, as well as a Junior Mine Geologist at BHP. James's career began with a role at Mineco Limited, where responsibilities included conducting geometallurgical feasibility studies and completing a thesis on resource estimations and financial appraisal for a lead mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Earlier experiences include internships in exploration geology, geological field mapping, and instructing at a watersports centre. James holds an MSc in Mining Geology from the University of Exeter and a BSc in Geology from Durham University.
