Austin Scheffer

Austin Scheffer currently serves as the Capital Projects and Procurement Supervisor for Bellingham Public Schools, overseeing public procurement, project engineering, and managing small to mid-size projects. Previously, Austin worked as a Procurement Specialist within the same school district, handling bid solicitations and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Prior experience includes serving as a Contract and Safety Analyst at Bellingham Marine, focusing on contract/project analysis and negotiations, and managing the Solid Core value stream at Lynden Door, where leadership development and production needs were addressed. Austin also worked as a Production Engineer at Henrybuilt, significantly increasing production output, and contributed to the WWU Hybrid Bus Project as a Powertrain Team Member. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a focus on Manufacturing Engineering from Western Washington University.
