Laura Cardinal

Laura Cardinal is a seasoned professional in mental health and social work, currently serving as the Director of Mental Health Services at Bellingham Public Schools since November 2023. Prior to this role, Laura worked as a Clinical Social Worker at Island Health from September 2022 to November 2023 and held various academic positions at the University of Southern California, including Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor. Laura's clinical experience includes roles as a Medical Social Worker at Hospice of the Northwest and Skagit Valley Hospital, as well as serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Southern California. Laura holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California, a Master of Social Work from The University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Experiential and Environmental Education from Western Washington University.
