Vidyut Jacob

Vidyut Jacob has extensive work experience in the field of mobility design and strategy. Vidyut currently holds the position of Senior Director Mobility & Strategy at Bellwether Industries, a role they have had since August 2022. Prior to this, they were the Mobility Design & Strategy Director at Bellwether Industries from May 2021 to August 2022. Before that, they worked as a Mobility Designer at Bellwether Industries from December 2020 to May 2021 and as a Mobility Designer from November 2020 to December 2020.

In addition to their roles at Bellwether Industries, Vidyut also worked as an Industrial and Vehicle Designer at Edge Mobility from September 2020 to December 2020.

Vidyut has also gained teaching experience as a Visiting Professor at Pearl Academy. During their time there in August 2020 to September 2020, they taught Product and Accessory Design Graduate students, focusing on sketching principles, advanced construction techniques, and CAD.

Before their time at Bellwether Industries, Edge Mobility, and Pearl Academy, Vidyut held various internships and collaborative projects. Vidyut worked as an Exterior Design Intern at SAIC Motor UK Technical Centre Limited in July 2019 to August 2019, focusing on the perception of intelligence in vehicles through exterior design. Vidyut also participated in a Collaborative Project at Ford Motor Company from January 2019 to April 2019, at CERN from December 2018 to January 2019, and at Porsche Design Group from October 2018 to December 2018.

Prior to these experiences, Vidyut worked as Graphics & Branding at Jaipur Kala Chaupal from September 2017 to January 2018, as an Industrial Designer at Future Factory from September 2016 to August 2017, and as a Design Intern at TVS Motor Company from May 2015 to July 2015.

Vidyut Jacob completed their Intelligent Mobility degree in Automotive Design from the Royal College of Art from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Raffles Millennium International between 2013 and 2016. In 2012, Vidyut attended DSK ISD in Pune for Transportation Design. Before pursuing higher education, they completed their High School education at Pathways World School, Aravali, from 2010 to 2012. Vidyut also attended Don Bosco High School in Matunga, Bombay, from 2007 to 2010 for their earlier High School education.
