Betty Chu Pryor has a diverse range of work experience in various educational settings. Betty started their career as a Classroom Teacher at Edgar F. Hooks School, where they adapted materials for students with special needs and assessed student performance. Betty then worked as a Program Coordinator at Harvard Business School, organizing logistics for executive education programs and supporting professors, clients, and participants. After that, they served as a Program Manager at FM&A, where they wrote proposals, managed client interactions, and supervised interns. Following this, they worked at Belmont Day School, first as a Kindergarten Teacher and later as the Lower School Division Head. During their time there, they also served as the New Faculty Mentoring Program Co-Chair, Interim Lower School Division Head, and Diversity Committee Faculty Co-Chair. Additionally, they took on roles such as Interim Associate Director of Admissions and Reaccreditation and Self-Study Co-Chair. Betty also had a brief role as an Adjunct Faculty member at Lesley University, teaching a course on Observation, Documentation, and Assessment for graduate students.

Betty Chu Pryor completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education from Boston University, spanning from 1994 to 1998. Betty then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a focus on Technology in Education at Lesley University, studying from 2000 to 2002.
