Betty Chu Pryor has a diverse range of work experience in various educational settings. Betty started their career as a Classroom Teacher at Edgar F. Hooks School, where they adapted materials for students with special needs and assessed student performance. Betty then worked as a Program Coordinator at Harvard Business School, organizing logistics for executive education programs and supporting professors, clients, and participants. After that, they served as a Program Manager at FM&A, where they wrote proposals, managed client interactions, and supervised interns. Following this, they worked at Belmont Day School, first as a Kindergarten Teacher and later as the Lower School Division Head. During their time there, they also served as the New Faculty Mentoring Program Co-Chair, Interim Lower School Division Head, and Diversity Committee Faculty Co-Chair.
