Dr. David Tough

Dr. David Tough is a Full Professor and Tenured Associate Professor of Audio Engineering Technology at Belmont University, where teaching focuses on music production and audio engineering at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Since 1995, Dr. Tough has owned and operated Dave Tough Productions, achieving over 300 major movie placements and producing more than 1,000 demos and albums for artists in Los Angeles and Nashville. Previous industry experience includes roles at Warner Chappell Music and BMG Music Publishing, and Dr. Tough's academic background includes a Doctorate in Education focused on Audio Education from Tennessee State University, an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of North Texas.
