John Carlson

John Carlson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, management, and public service. Currently serving as a County Commissioner for Beltrami County since January 2023, John has held the role of Chief Financial Officer and Bookkeeper at Bonded Lock & Key since May 2017. Previously, John was the Owner/Agent of the John Carlson Agency for American Family Insurance from April 1996 to April 2017 and served as a State Senator in the Minnesota Senate from January 2011 to December 2012, where participation in key committees included Environment & Natural Resources, Higher Education, State Government, Innovation and Veterans, and Capital Investments. Earlier career roles include serving as CFO and Controller at Northern Medical Imaging, Inc. from May 1980 to April 1996.
