Shaheen Anis

Shaheen Anis is an accomplished academic consultant and researcher with extensive experience in the field of water treatment and materials science. Currently serving as an Academic Consultant at BeMo Academic Consulting Inc. since August 2022, Shaheen also contributes to the Desalination Journal as an Early Career Editorial Board Member, engaging in promoting the journal and raising awareness about potable water and desalination methods. Previously, Shaheen held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at New York University Abu Dhabi, where significant discoveries included a novel application for catalytic nanoparticles and the development of electrically conductive ceramic membranes for fouling control. With a strong educational background that includes a PhD in Multi/Interdisciplinary Engineering from Khalifa University, as well as studies at prestigious institutions like MIT, Shaheen has a robust foundation in materials science and chemical engineering, supported by various research roles and editorial contributions throughout a distinguished career.
