Praveen Sewgobind

Praveen Sewgobind is a seasoned professional in diversity and inclusion, currently serving as a Senior Adviseur Diversiteit & Inclusie at Gemeente Arnhem and as a Senior Onderzoeker at Ben Sajet Centrum since January 2023. Prior roles include Diversity Officer at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics from May 2022 to April 2023, where responsibilities involved chairing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Additional experience includes Project Leader at ArtEZ University of the Arts and Research Professor in Diversity & Inclusivity at Design Academy Eindhoven. Praveen Sewgobind has also been a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at The City University of New York from September 2019 to November 2021. Academic qualifications include a PhD from the University of Potsdam and master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Amsterdam in Cultural Studies and English Language and Culture, respectively.
