Michael Schwartz is the Head of Product Marketing at Benchling. Prior to Benchling, they were the Senior Director of Life Sciences at Salesforce from October 2015 to January 2020. In this role, they led the life science industry go-to-market strategy for one of the fastest growing vertical segments of the world’s fastest growing Top 10 cloud company. Michael also worked with pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic customers/partners to understand the changing landscape of manufactured products for the healthcare industry, and align the Salesforce platform capabilities and solutions to solve critical issues relating to business and healthcare IT.

Before their time at Salesforce, Michael Schwartz was a co-founder and VP Marketing at Fluxion Biosciences from June 2005 to October 2015. In this role, they directed marketing (inbound and commercial), product development, and business development programs for VC-backed revenue-stage bioanalytical instrumentation firm serving biotechnology and diagnostic customers.

Prior to Fluxion Biosciences, Michael Schwartz was a Product Manager at Advanced Stent Technologies from January 2001 to December 2004. Advanced Stent Technologies was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2004.

Michael Schwartz has a BS in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia Engineering, and a BS in Bioengineering from Product Marketing Alliance.
