Rachel Black

Rachel Black has a strong background in security engineering and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Rachel is currently serving as the Head of Security Engineering at Benchling since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at One Medical from 2017 to 2021, where they held positions such as Director of Security Assurance, Senior Manager of Application Security, and Lead Application Security Engineer. Rachel also worked at Salesforce as a Senior Application Security Engineer from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they gained experience as a Security Engineer at River Front Services Inc from 2013 to 2015. Rachel began their career as a Cyber Cohort Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2010. Rachel'sexperience includes leading security assessments, developing secure coding practices, and obtaining authorization to operate for applications. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) from GIAC in July 2013, Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in 2010, and Security+ from CompTIA in 2010.
