Sumanth Shanbhag

Sumanth Shanbhag is an experienced engineering leader specializing in data platforms and analytics, currently serving as the Engineering Leader for Data Platform at Benchling since June 2023. Previously, Sumanth held key engineering leadership roles at Twitter and Zoosk Inc., where Sumanth proactively drove the vision for business intelligence and data platforms, serving a global user base exceeding 45 million members. Sumanth's career also includes positions as a Senior Data Engineer at TrueCar, Data Engineer at Tribune Company, and Software Engineer roles at Los Angeles Times and Hewlett Packard, demonstrating a robust background in data warehousing, analytics, and software development. Sumanth holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
