Zach Powers

Zach Powers has been in the security industry for over a decade, starting their career at Salesforce in 2009. Zach quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the VP of Enterprise Security in 2013. In this role, they were responsible for developing the enterprise security program and managing multiple teams. Zach also served in customer-facing engagements to support pre- and post-sales. In 2017, they left Salesforce to join One Medical Group as their CISO & CIO.

At One Medical, Zach built the security program from the ground up and successfully took the company public. Zach's major focus areas included security engineering, product security, threat detection, incident response, security engagement, vendor security, cloud security, security compliance, and sales enablement. Zach also led the company through a digital transformation, moving all IT services to be cloud-based, automated, and mobile-first.

In 2020, Zach left One Medical to join Benchling as their CISO. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of Benchling's security program.
