Sheila Riggs

Sheila Riggs is the current Director at Benco Dental. Sheila has also served as the Chair of the Department of Primary Dental Care at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry for 13 years and 5 months. In addition, they have been a Member of the Board of Directors for The Cargill Foundation for 6 years and 2 months, and a Member of the Board of Directors for Benco Dental for 8 years and 11 months. Sheila has also been a Member and past President of Women's Health Leadership TRUST for 16 years and 2 months, and a Member and past Executive Committee member of MN Women's Economic Roundtable for 16 years and 6 months. Lastly, they have served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Hennepin Healthcare for 2 years.

Sheila Riggs attended Harvard University from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a DMSc in epidemiology. Sheila was named Harvard School of Dental Medicine Alumnus of the Year in 2016. Riggs also attended the University of Iowa from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a DDS in dentistry. Lastly, they went to Creighton University from 1979 to 1982 for their undergraduate degree, earning a degree in chemistry.
