Richard Deutsch

Richard Deutsch is an Independent Director at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. Richard has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Australia from February 2015 to April 2021.

Born in Sydney, Richard has always been driven by a desire to help others. This led him to found OzHarvest, a non-denominational charity which rescues and distributes excess food which would otherwise be discarded. OzHarvest now works across Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Newcastle, delivering 480,000 meals monthly Australia-wide across 21 food vans.

Richard is a passionate advocate for social justice and has won numerous awards for their work with OzHarvest, including the Australian Financial Review and Westpac Group's 100 Women of Influence Award, the Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the NSW Premier's Volunteer of the Year Award.
