Rick Johnson

Rick Johnson is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in education and digital publishing. Currently serving as a Board Member at Benetech since December 2023, Rick is also a Co-Founder and Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Accessibility at VitalSource, a leading digital textbook platform, where engagement has continued since 1999. As Chief Technology Officer and Board Member of the 1EdTech Consortium since October 2012, Rick contributes to advancing educational technology standards. Additional roles include Advisory Committee Representative at W3C and Board Member at the International Digital Publishing Forum. Previous experience includes senior technology positions at Ingram Digital Group, MyiLibrary, Apple Computer, Inc., and Biola University. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Business Administration from Biola University.
