Mažvydas Kunevičius began their professional career in 2015 as the Head of the Electronic Warfare Subdivision (Lieutenant OF-1) at the Defence Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. In this role, they were responsible for information and data gathering as well as the selection and analysis of communications and publications in media and other sources. Mažvydas managed a team of nine people who were responsible for information analysis, data processing, preparation of presentations, drafting reports for policy-makers, and monitoring of regional military and political fields.

In 2017, Mažvydas Kunevičius joined the Strategic Communication Department of the Lithuanian Armed Forces as a Strategic Communications Officer (OF-2). Mažvydas'sresponsibilities included press and media relations, responding to inquiries, delivering effective media campaigns, organizing media events, supporting and advising other institutions on the best communication practices, and directing the production of regular media coverage reports. Writing speeches, drafting memos, and answering media inquiries were all part of their daily responsibilities.

In 2020, Mažvydas Kunevičius was seconded to the COVID-19 Crisis National Emergency Operations Centre as a Crisis Communications Officer at the Ministry of Health. In this role, they acted as a key representative of the Lithuanian Armed Forces who delivered the latest insights about disinformation in press conferences together with senior-level government officials. Mažvydas was responsible for daily information environment monitoring, briefings to the Minister of Health regarding the disinformation situation in the Republic of Lithuania, and supported the planning and implementation of a crisis communication strategy.

In 2021, Mažvydas Kunevičius joined Eastern European Studies Centre as a Counter Disinformation Consultant and Publicum as an Account Executive. Later that same year, they also joined the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania as the Head of Communications, where they were responsible for day-to-day communication planning, high-level ministry events, and collaboration with the media. Mažvydas managed a team of three specialists and focused on creating, developing, and implementing short-term and medium-term PR strategies, writing internal communication materials, and assisting internal comms and PR events with the help of agencies according to the set KPIs.

In 2022, Mažvydas Kunevičius joined benme as the Chief Communications Officer (CCO).

Mažvydas Kunevičius received their Bachelor's degree in Cultural History and Anthropology from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University in 2011-2015. Mažvydas then attended The General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania from 2012-2015, where they obtained a Lieutenant degree and specialized in Military, The Junior Officer Command (Reserve Platoon Commander) Training. Finally, they obtained their Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University in 2016-2018.
