Christopher Opie has extensive experience in sales and account management, currently serving as Managing Director and Sales Director at Bennett Opie Ltd since September 2015. Prior to this role, Christopher worked at Unilever from February 2011 to August 2015 as a Senior Customer Account Manager, overseeing key accounts in homecare and chilled foods for major retailers including Tesco and Morrisons. Earlier experience includes the position of National Account Manager at Veetee Rice Ltd from January 2008 to January 2011, where responsibility included full P&L management for branded and own label products across several leading retailers. Christopher holds a BMus degree in Music from G.S.M.D. and has completed studies at CIM/Bexley College.

Bennett Opie Ltd produce a delicious range of pickles, home baking and cocktail garnish products for customers in the UK and around the world. We’re also the UK importer for MONIN syrups, Coco Lopez and Alain Milliat juices and nectars. Founded in 1880, we are one of the oldest private family-owned food companies in the country – in fact, we’re still family run to this day. Put simply, our passion is quality food. Some of our well-loved products under the Opies brand include gherkins, pickled walnuts, cocktail cherries, stem ginger, fruits with alcohol and many more. From our offices and manufacturing site we supply many of the major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, ASDA, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and hold long-standing relationships with many independent retailers, wholesalers and foodservice customers.
