Kai Christian Zimmermann has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Kai Christian began their career at Bosch Rexroth as a Project Engineer and Doctoral Candidate, where they worked from September 2010 to March 2014. Following this, they worked as a Lecturer in Production Technology at Fachhochschule Ulm - Hochschule für Technik from September 2013 to March 2014.

In 2014, Zimmermann joined BENTELER Group as Head of Material Flow, a position they held until September 2016. Kai Christian then joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate from September 2016 to April 2018.

Returning to BENTELER Group, Zimmermann held various roles including Director of Logistics and Production Technology from April 2018 to August 2020, Vice President of Manufacturing Engineering from June 2020 to the present, Plant Manager from August 2021 to December 2022, and currently Executive Vice President of North America from November 2023.

Throughout their career, Zimmermann has gained extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, material flow management, and logistics.

Kai Christian Zimmermann attended Universität Siegen from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a degree in Diplom-Ingenieur. Kai Christian studied Maschinenbau (mechanical engineering) and Internationales Projektmanagement (international project management) during their time at the university.
