James Crider is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and subsea geosciences. As a Senior Engineer at Benthic since 2017, James specializes in core sampling and soil strength testing using innovative subsea drilling technology. James also owns J. Crider Consulting, LLC, a mechanical engineering consultancy established in 2016. Previously, James worked at Oceaneering in various senior engineering roles focusing on subsea systems for the offshore oil and gas industry, and held engineering positions at Baker Oil Tools, General Motors, Metaldyne, DaimlerChrysler, and Ford Motor Company, contributing to significant advancements in tool design, powertrain systems, and cooling technologies. James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
