Courtney Hough

Courtney Hough, MS, CMP has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Courtney is currently serving as the Executive Director of University Events at Bentley University since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Events at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from December 2021 to June 2022.

Courtney also has extensive experience at Bentley University, where they worked from June 2017 to December 2021 as the Director of University Events. During their time at Bentley, they also served as the Centennial Program Director from March 2015 to December 2021. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing all aspects of the university's centennial celebration, working closely with various stakeholders.

Before their tenure at Bentley, Courtney worked at Boston College as the Associate Director, Programs and Events from January 2010 to March 2015. Courtney'sresponsibilities involved managing a portfolio of events, including presidential, stewardship, cultivation, recognition, fundraising, and corporate partnership events.

Prior to their role at Boston College, Courtney worked at MIT as an Events Manager from September 2005 to January 2010. In this position, they cultivated and engaged high-level alumni donors through the planning of various events.

Courtney'searly career included a role as an Assistant Manager, Restaurants at Marriott International from June 2004 to September 2005. In this position, they managed multiple restaurant outlets, oversaw a large team of associates, and handled various operational responsibilities.

Courtney Hough holds a MS degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Northeastern University. Courtney also has a BS degree in Hospitality Management from Penn State University. In addition, they studied Travel Tourism at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
