Melanie Foley

Trustee at Bentley University

Named executive vice president, chief talent and enterprise services officer for Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2011, Melanie is one of 12 members of the Liberty Mutual Insurance management team. Joining Liberty Mutual in 1996 as an account executive, she now leads the company’s global talent, DE&I, procurement, communications, real estate and sustainability functions as well as strategic services for the enterprise. She drove the implementation of market-competitive workplace flexibility and leave policies, diversity and inclusion practices, and modernized, best-in-class employee compensation and benefit offerings resulting most recently in Liberty Mutual being named to Forbes’ Best Places to Work for Diversity (2019), Fortune’s Best Places for Diversity (2019), Forbes’ Best Workplaces for Women (2020), and PEOPLE magazine’s 2019 “50 Companies That Care” lists. A founding board member of WorkGrid Software, LLC, she serves as trustee for the Boston Medical Center, where she reportedly doubled fundraising results for the annual Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care, serving as Co-chair since 2014. Foley is a current member of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum.
