Richard Witasse

Richard Witasse has over 19 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Richard worked as a Principal Application Engineer and Principal Consultant at Bentley Systems, specializing in geotechnical engineering. Prior to that, they were a Senior Advisor and Coordinator of Paid Events at Plaxis BV, where they coordinated Plaxis Expert Services activities and carried out FEA projects on geotechnical problems. Richard also worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Advanced Lightweight Engineering B.V. and as an Advanced Application Engineer at Dassault Systèmes. Earlier in their career, Richard worked as a Software Developer and Application Engineer at TNO DIANA BV, where they developed software for calculation kernels and provided customer support and consultancy in the field of concrete material behavior.

Richard Witasse earned their MSc in Civil Engineering from Centrale Nantes between 1994 and 1997. Richard later pursued a PhD in Civil Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they completed between 1997 and 2000.
