Chaoyu Yang has a strong background in software engineering and entrepreneurship. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer at DataStory, where they led the product development of XiaoQi, a chat-bot app that gained popularity on Chinese social networks. This project later became an integral part of the company's enterprise product offering.
In 2014, Chaoyu joined Databricks as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and developing multiple core products for the company's unified analytics platform. Chaoyu worked closely with customers, focusing on product design and system building.
In 2018, Chaoyu founded Atalaya and served as the CEO. Chaoyu led the company until 2019, overseeing its operations and strategic direction.
In 2019, Chaoyu founded BentoML and is currently serving as the CEO.
Chaoyu Yang received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Sun Yat-sen University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Chaoyu continued their education at the University of Washington, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction + Design in the field of Human Computer Interaction from 2013 to 2014.
