Christopher Davies

Christopher Davies is currently the Non-Executive Director at Beowulf Mining. Christopher was formerly the COO/Executive Director at African Eagle Resources plc from February 2001 to April 2012. At African Eagle, Davies was responsible for supervising the Group's gold and copper exploration activities in Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique. Christopher also directed high level initiatives including responsibility to the Board of African Eagle for coordinating the Dutwa Ni project to pre-feasibility stage as a multi-disciplinary approach through senior management & consultants.

From January 1991 to December 1998, Davies worked as the Exploration Manager at SAMAX Resources. During their time at SAMAX, Davies was responsible for the implementation of exploration programmes, budgets and exploration strategy. Christopher also negotiated and operated joint ventures, including the Mkushi copper project in Zambia to feasibility stage through Ratel/CGA, and on other projects with Phelps Dodge, Platmin Congo, Goldfields and others.

Christopher Davies studied geology at the University of College of Wales, Aberystwyth, before going on to complete an MSc in mineral exploration at the Royal School of Mines - Imperial College, London.
