Brian Chung, CPA, serves as a Senior Financial Analyst at the Bereavement Authority of Ontario since July 2022. Prior to this role, Brian held multiple positions at Magna Powertrain from September 2016 to July 2022, including Planning and Analysis Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, and Financial Analyst. Brian's experience includes a tenure as a Staff Auditor at PRGX from July 2015 to September 2016, as well as various roles at The MasterCard Foundation, where duties included Accounting Intern and Compliance and Accounting Student. Additional experience encompasses an Accounting Co-op at The Myriad Group and a US Tax Consulting Internship at PwC. Brian holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management with a Minor in Human Resources Management from the University of Waterloo.

Bereavement Authority of Ontario
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is a government delegated authority and not-for-profit corporation administering provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery. Responsible for protection of the public interest, the BAO regulates, ensures compliance with the law, provides resources and services to licensed: -Funeral establishment operators, directors and preplanners; -Cemetery, crematorium and alternative disposition operators; -Transfer service operators; and -Bereavement sector sales representatives across Ontario. The BAO is wholly funded by licensee fees (not tax dollars).
