Sam Smathers

Sam Smathers currently serves as the Assistant Manager of Creative Services at Bergdorf Goodman since June 2022 and also contributes as a Graphic Design Volunteer for UN Women USA Los Angeles. Previous experience includes a role as a Graphic Designer at Carson Consulting, where responsibilities included designing a new company website and branding, and managing client assessments. Prior to this, Sam was a 3rd Grade Teacher at Dallas Independent School District, and a Corps Member with Teach For America. Early artistic endeavors included working as a Printmaking Assistant at Island Press and a Printmaking Studio Monitor at Washington University in St. Louis. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts, Art History, and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, and has participated in art history programs at Southern Methodist University and the Santa Reparata International School of Art.
