Kelly Krenn

Kelly Krenn is a seasoned law enforcement professional currently serving as Captain of Detectives at the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office since November 2018. In this role, Kelly oversees both sworn and non-sworn personnel, managing the Major Crimes Unit, Special Victims Unit, and coordinating with the Saddle Brook Police Department. Previously, Kelly held the position of Director at the Bergen County Police Academy, focusing on leadership, staff management, and program development for police recruits and in-service officers. With a strong background in criminal investigations, Kelly served as Detective Lieutenant for the Major Crimes Unit, handling homicide investigations, and was instrumental in the North Jersey Cold Case Task Force. Kelly's earlier experience includes work as a detective in the Narcotics Unit and as a Task Force Detective with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Kelly began professional law enforcement as a Police Officer with the Maywood NJ Police Department. Kelly earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Fordham University.
