Robert Koch has had a long and varied career in the marketing industry. In 2008, they began as a Public Relations Intern at BITKOM e.V. In 2011, they worked as a Social Media Marketing Manager at Zalando SE and as a Social Media Specialist as an Independent Consultant. Robert then moved to Viewster AG, where they worked as a Digital Channel & Social Media Manager. In 2014, Koch became Head of Brand Marketing at Bonnyprints GmbH, and in 2015 they took on the role of Head of Marketing at Kochzauber Food GmbH. From 2017 to 2019, Koch worked as Marketing Director at Rakuten Deutschland GmbH, where they were responsible for a sizable budget and leadership of a 20+ people marketing experts team, in addition to their roles on European and global level. Most recently, Koch has been the Vorstand & CMO at BERGFÜRST since 2019.

Robert Koch studied Media Business Administration at Technische Universität Ilmenau from 2001 to 2004. Robert then went on to receive their Diplom (university graduate) in Media and Communication Science from the same university between 2004 and 2011.
