Travis Richardson

Travis Richardson has served with the Berkeley County (SC) Government since September 2019, progressing through various roles including Detective Sergeant and Patrol Sergeant, where responsibilities include supervising a patrol shift and overseeing the training and daily duties of approximately 8 Deputy Sheriffs. In the Major Case Unit, Travis investigates non-natural deaths and sexual assaults, while in the Property Crime Unit, the focus is on complex investigations related to financial crimes and fraud. Previously, Travis was a Patrol Deputy, performing public safety duties and training new deputies. Prior experience includes serving as an Asset Protection Specialist at Target, where surveillance and apprehension of shoplifters were key duties, and working as a Police Dispatcher for the City of Hanahan, SC, managing emergency communications for law enforcement and emergency services.
