Kurt Kohler is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Interim Principal of Berkeley Alternative School within the Berkeley County School District since August 2015, after previously holding the position of Assistant Principal. Kurt has demonstrated pragmatic thinking through the optimization of the school's registration process, effectively managing the master schedule for 2,600 students and 170 teachers. With a strong commitment to collaboration, Kurt works to build positive relationships among district personnel, staff, parents, students, and the community to foster academic and social growth. Prior to this, Kurt served as a Math Department Chair and teacher at the Charleston County School District where Advanced Placement Statistics, Honors Calculus, and Algebra 3 were taught. Kurt's teaching experience also includes a tenure at Montgomery County Public Schools, focusing on various mathematics subjects, including Algebra 1 and AP Calculus. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Hood College and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from the University of Delaware.
