Libby Roerig, MA, APR has a diverse range of work experience. Libby is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, where they oversee a five-person department and manages various communication activities. Libby previously worked at Indiana State University, holding roles such as Adjunct Lecturer, Director of Communications and Media Relations/Chief Content Strategist, and Assistant Director of Media Relations. Additionally, Libby has worked as a freelance editor/writer, focusing on food-related topics. Libby also worked as a Consultant for The Prairie Press and held positions at Citizens Electric Corporation, Savannah Morning News, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The News & Observer Publishing Company, The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, and The Press and Standard. Throughout their career, Libby has gained experience in areas such as public relations, media relations, branding, content strategy, and journalism.

Libby Roerig, MA, APR has an extensive education background in journalism and English. In 2005, they obtained a Masters degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Before that, in 2000, they earned a BA in English from Charleston Southern University. From 1998 to 2000, they pursued an Associates degree in English at the University of South Carolina-Salkehatchie.

In 2006, Libby Roerig also participated in the Poynter Summer Fellowship for Young Journalists at the Poynter Institute, focusing on Design and Visual Communications.

Libby Roerig further enhanced their qualifications by obtaining the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification in March 2019 from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
