Alison Williams

Alison Williams has extensive experience in energy efficiency and environmental management, currently serving as the Department Head at Berkeley Lab since February 2011. In this role, Alison manages the Energy Efficiency Studies Department and oversees strategic planning, funding, staffing, and research for a team of 55 staff members. Prior to this, Alison held various positions including Program Manager, where responsibilities included directing multi-million dollar projects for Department of Energy efficiency standards, and roles at Opinion Dynamics Corporation, including Energy Analyst, where survey design and coordination were key duties. Alison's early career involved work as a Science and Environmental Writer and Water Planner, showcasing a strong foundation in hydrology and water resource management, complemented by advanced degrees in Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor's in Recreation Management from Arizona State University.
