David Alumbaugh is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since March 2019, Alumbaugh also works as a Principal and Consultant at BlueGreen Geophysics. Previous positions include Principal Geoscientist at NEOS GeoSolutions, Senior Geophysical Researcher at Chevron, and Geophysical Advisor at Schlumberger. Alumbaugh began an academic career as an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Alumbaugh holds a PhD in Geophysical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from San Diego State University.
