Ed Allen

Ed Allen is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience at the Joint Genome Institute, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 2008, specializing in the development, deployment, and support of web applications for DNA sequencing and synthesis proposals. Prior to this role, Ed served as a Scientific Application Developer at Stanford University from 1994 to 2008. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Michigan State University. Proficient in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, MySQL, and Oracle, Ed is currently engaged in agile practices while actively learning SvelteJS and other contemporary frameworks.
