Eric Sundstrom

Eric Sundstrom is a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since September 2022, previously serving as a Research Scientist and Senior Process Engineer in the Fermentation and Recovery division at the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit from October 2015 to January 2023. Eric has also held the position of Principal Research Engineer at Algae Systems, LLC, from 2013 to 2015, and worked as a Graduate Researcher and Course Instructor at Stanford University from 2007 to 2013. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Assistant in Environmental Engineering and Evolutionary Biology at Rice University from 2002 to 2006. Eric holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering Sciences from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rice University.
