Jonathan S. Maltz, PhD, has extensive experience in the field of medical imaging and technology, currently serving as a Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 1997, where pioneering research in physiological measurement has led to the invention of two innovative devices for early cardiovascular disease detection. Previously, as Chief Scientist for CT at GE HealthCare, Jonathan advanced photon counting technology to clinical evaluation stages. Jonathan's tenure as Chief Technology Officer of Radiation Therapy at United Imaging Healthcare involved leading technological innovation and product development in medical imaging. As Principal Key Expert at Siemens Medical Solutions, Jonathan focused on R&D of critical imaging technologies. Additionally, Jonathan held an adjunct faculty position in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. Jonathan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as MSc and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
