Mike Tucker is a highly accomplished Staff Scientist and Principal Investigator at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since February 2004, with extensive research and development experience in solid oxide fuel cells, lithium batteries, and various electrochemical technologies. Key contributions include leading advancements in metal-supported fuel cells, enhancing their power generation capabilities and lifetime, and developing innovative ceramic filters for molten metal filtration. As a Technical Advisor at hiLyte Power, Mike focuses on sustainable battery solutions for developing markets. Former roles include CTO and co-Founder of Point Source Power, where Mike pioneered consumer electronics powered by fuel cell technology, and contributions to research at Uppsala University and UC Berkeley. Mike holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Brown University.
