Rohith Karur

Rohith Karur is a dedicated researcher with extensive experience in physics, currently serving as a Research Affiliate at Berkeley Lab since October 2017. Key contributions include measuring W boson production in association with charm quarks using CERN LHC Run 2 data and investigating charge deposits within the Near Detector of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). Additionally, Rohith works as a Visiting Researcher at Rice University under Prof Mustafa Amin, focusing on soliton dynamics and dark matter through numerical simulations. Rohith has also gained valuable experience as a Summer Quantum Research Intern at IBM, where an algorithm for parallelizing CNOT gates was developed, and as a Research Intern at Princeton University and Boston University, exploring quantum control of NV centers in diamonds and testing the composite-Higgs theory, respectively. Rohith is pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, after completing a BA in Physics at the same institution.
