Tavia Stone Gibbins is currently serving as the acting Group Lead for Networking at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), where leadership is provided to a team of HPC Network Engineers tasked with developing high-capacity connectivity for a state-of-the-art HPC datacenter. With a robust background at NERSC since November 2015, Tavia also manages the NERSC-10 Project L2 and Control Account for System Acquisition and Build. Prior experience includes a role as HPC Systems Team Lead at STFC from November 2007 to October 2015, where coordination of the HPC Systems admin team was undertaken in support of the Hartree Centre and UK scientific community. Early career experience at NERSC and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory involved roles as a Network Engineer and HPC Systems Engineer in high-performance computing environments. Tavia holds a BA in Architecture from Vassar College and a Professional Certificate in Computer Information Systems from the University of California, Berkeley.
