Zhe Bai is a Machine Learning Researcher at Berkeley Lab since January 2019, with a focus on applying machine learning techniques to various fields. Previously, Zhe Bai worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington from September 2014 to December 2018, specializing in sparse sensing and modal decomposition for high-dimensional dynamical systems, as well as dynamics and flow control. A Summer Research Intern at Sandia National Laboratories in 2016, Zhe Bai contributed to a project on nonintrusive nonlinear model reduction via machine learning. Zhe Bai's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington, along with a Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University. Zhe Bai also participated in the GEA aerospace summer program at ISAE-SUPAERO.
