Jian Gong is an experienced leader in the field of biomedical instrumentation and microfluidics, currently serving as Director and Sr Manager at Complete Genomics Inc. since August 2017, and as Manager at Berkeley Lights, Inc. since May 2015. Previously, Jian held positions as Staff Engineer and Principal Consultant at Illumina and Life Technologies, respectively, developing innovative microfluidic platforms and cleaning instruments for Silicon wafers. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UCLA, where Jian contributed to research on electrowetting droplet microfluidics, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in Automobile Engineering from Tsinghua University.
