Katherine Schaff

Katherine Schaff serves as the Healthy Equity Coordinator at Berkeley Media Studies Group since June 2017, focusing on enhancing the organizational and communications capacity of local health departments and community organizations to promote racial and health equity, with plans for expansion beyond California. Previously, Katherine worked as the Health Equity Coordinator at Alameda County Public Health Department from March 2006 to May 2017 and as a Program Associate at the National Association of County and City Health Officials from October 2002 to December 2005. Katherine's earlier experience includes an internship in Public Relations and Clinic at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains in 2001. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and International Studies from the University of Denver.
