Pamela Mejia is a seasoned professional in public health research, currently serving as the Director of Research and Associate Program Director at Berkeley Media Studies Group since August 2010. In this role, Pamela designs and directs research projects that assess media coverage of public health and social justice issues, focusing on the effects of such coverage on progressive narratives and strategic communications. Additionally, Pamela has acted as Interim Director while overseeing research initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Associate, where Pamela evaluated media framing of various public health topics, and roles as a Nutrition Counselor and Research Coordinator. Pamela holds a Master of Public Health in Public Health Nutrition and a Master's degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Washington State University.
