Brent Carlson

Brent Carlson is an experienced director with a strong background in risk management, compliance, and business development. Currently serving as a Director at Berkeley Research Group LLC since April 2023, Brent previously held the position of Director at AlixPartners from 2005 to June 2022, where responsibilities included managing internal investigations, compliance assessments, and international arbitration related to M&A disputes. As the founder of Kirin Advisors, Brent focused on China business advisory and fraud prevention from 2004 to 2005. Earlier roles include Manager at Deloitte, where Brent developed strategies for private equity and China-related ventures, and Director of Business Development at Visualize Video Corporation. Prior experience encompasses positions at Raytheon as Business Development Manager and Chief Representative at Chemtex (China) Engineering, specializing in foreign direct investment and technology transfer projects. Brent holds a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Minnesota.
