Berkeley Student Cooperative
Isaac Duarte is a dedicated member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International since January 2023, recognized for academic excellence and leadership within the Beta Gamma Nu Chapter. Currently serving as Waste Reduction Manager at Berkeley Student Cooperative since January 2022, Isaac oversees waste production and facilitates reduction initiatives through various projects and educational events. In addition, Isaac holds the position of House President, responsible for organizing council meetings and communicating agendas. Prior experience includes roles as a barista at CoRo Coffee Room and Blue Bottle Coffee, and as a Bakery Service Team Member at Whole Foods Market. Isaac is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, after completing a Bachelor's degree in the same field at Berkeley City College.

The Berkeley Student Cooperative is a student-run 501(c)(3) affordable housing provider that removes barriers to higher education for low-income and traditionally marginalized students and empowers them with community-building skills that they can take into the future. We own and operate 20 properties in Berkeley, and providing housing to 1,260 students.
