Matt W. has extensive work experience in the tech industry. In 2020, they began working as the Head of Architecture & Engineering at Amdocs. In 2021, they became the CEO & Founder of Berkeley Synthetic and a Teaching Faculty, Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2022, they also took on the role of Author at Wiley and Principal at Metaverse Standards Forum. In 2023, Matt W. became the Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee at Open Metaverse Foundation. Prior to their current roles, they were the Executive Director of Open Metaverse Foundation from 2011-2013, National Director, Data Science at IBM from 2018-2021, and Director, Enterprise Architecture and Technology Innovation at Shaw Communications from 2016-2018. Matt also held the role of Principal Architect, Video, Applications and Security Technology at CableLabs from 2013-2016.
